Dr Goh Boon Kee shared his expertise on the surgical treatment of vitiligo with the Hong Kong dermatologists recently, at the 2026 HKPADS Paediatric Dermatology Symposium, held on 29 March 2026 at the CORDIS, Hong Kong.
In this lecture, Dr Goh discussed the advances of non-cultured cellular grafting over the past 2 decades, and how it superseded tissue grafting in terms of superiority of results and successful outcomes.
For non-cultured cellular grafting to succeed, strict selection criteria is paramount: that vitiligo is stable and that is has failed conventional medical treatment and phototherapy.
Dr Goh also demonstrated how non-cultured cellular grafting can restore colour in other forms of skin condition with loss of pigmentation, including burns, laser complications and scars.
